4. Flight Execution

When in position for takeoff, ground control open, and all above steps followed:

[!NOTE] Manual takeoff and landing are recommended.

  • Start UAV from controller:
    • ARM the UAV: Hold down on the left joystick while pressing the ARM button for a few seconds. The propellers will start to move!
    • To take off, move the left joystick up.
  • Manually takeoff to 75% of flight altitude.
  • Point UAV away from polygon (Green lights front, red lights back).
  • Initiate GPS:
    • Fly at max speed 3 sec in one direction and 3 sec back, turn UAV around and repeat.
  • Go to approx. flight altitude and start mission:
    • Press A for autoflight.
  • UAV will return to launch when done.
  • Manually land.
  • DISARM UAV: left joystick down for 10 sec & press DISARM button.
  • Confirm UAV is disarmed.
