1. Pre-Flight Battery Charging

Ensure that all batteries and necessary components are fully charged prior to flight:

UAV Battery

  • Take out the battery and the Tattu charger. Connect the Tattu charger to the outlet.
  • Take the black-capped balance cable and connect to the charger. Then take the yellow-capped extension cable and attach as well.
  • Select "charge" and press/hold "start".
  • Charge at a max 16 V.
  • NEVER let the battery fully discharge.

GCS (Controller)

  • Ensure both the controller AND NavBay are fully charged.
  • Charge the controller by plugging in USB-C.
  • NavBay is charged separately… controller must be on and charging:
    • Click the left "Disarm" button until you hear a chime. You will be directed to HA Ground Control.
    • Go to the NavLink app and select "BAT" at the top to see NAVBAY charging. You will see a charging icon appear next to the NavBay battery there.
  • Storage Note: After being charged, turn off the controller before taking it into the field to ensure NAVBAY and controller are not losing battery. To shut down, press and hold the middle top button. You will see a power off button appear on the screen. Tap this to turn off completely.
